Nautical Kingdom: European Harbor
Ah....Europe. A region known for its beauty, rich culture, and long-running history. It's no wonder why it's a popular tourist destination. Well, we've brought three of Europe's most iconic cities--Venice, Paris, and London--and have recreated them here in this area. Bon Voyage!
After going past the globe and the Storytellers statue of Walt and Mickey (the statue seen in Disney's California Adventure, Tokyo Disneysea, and Shanghai Disneyland), guests enter the park from under a hotel, Disney's Hotel Venetia. On the other side is where they'll find a charming Venice area. On the left side of the area is where they'll find Explorer's Hall, where help and services are found. Going to the right, guests can find Emporio di Donald, the park's largest store. In a canal area is where guests can ride Venetian Gondolas around some buildings, which include Il Ristorante di Venice and Carnival Traders. Going further to the right is where guests can find Pizzeria Roma, Umberto's and Petrified Lightning, the last of which is a shop where Venetian glassware is sold. This is also where guests can board the Nautical Kingdom Steamer Line to go to Ancient Delta. Along the base of the water is a stage where performances happen. Then, on the border with the Paris area is a bridge to the island where Kilimanjaro is. On this bridge, inspired by one in Florence with houses on it, is the Tuscany Market. It leads to the Fortress Explorations attraction, where guests can explore the Venetian fort where the Society of Explorers and Adventurers operate from.
To the left is a Parisian town square, where the Eiffel Tower can be seen in the background. The main attraction here is Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, which is similar to a ride found in Epcot and Walt Disney Studios. Like the French version of the ride, it exits near a restaurant, Chez Remy. The gift shop known as Les Souvenirs de Paris is also found here.
Last of all near the border with Discovery Bay is a London area. Here, guests can go to the park, where characters meet. On the sides of the park are River Thames Traders and Cruella DeVil Fashions. Behind the park is a recreation of the Banks house, where guests can ride The Practically Perfect Adventures of Mary Poppins, a Peter Pan's Flight-style dark ride themed to Mary Poppins. Nearby this square in a recreation of the Palace of Westminister (the Parliament building that Elizabeth Tower AKA Big Ben is next to) is the London Tavern.

When deciding on a Main Street area for the park, my mind kept going back to Europe. It's culturally rich and kind of sets the tone for the park. When tourists go to Europe, they expect to be enchanted, and that's the kind of vibe I wanted to give. Guests are about to go on these enchanting adventures in this park. Not to mention, I feel like including Venice, once a maritime superpower, would give guests the feeling that they would be going on maritime journeys throughout the world.

Europe is definitely enchanting and a great choice for this theming. It seems like it’d feel very immersive and like you’re actually there.
