Nautical Kingdom: Discovery Bay

 

Welcome to the future as it was imagined from the past. Here, guests enter the minds of visionaries, where their ideas are finally made into reality. From the inventions of Leonardo Da Vinci to the adventure stories of Jules Verne, this is where past and future collide to create a unique experience.

When entering from African Port, guests come into a Victorian-designed area with retrofuturistic machines. Here, they can eat at the Nautilus Kitchen, which is supposed to feel like you're eating on Captain Nemo's ship, the Nautilus. Also here are two rides inspired by Jules Verne adventures. From the Earth to the Moon is an indoor coaster based off of Disneyland Paris's Space Mountain, which is found on the left. It exits into the Baltimore Gun Club Emporium. On the right is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, a dark ride through the ocean where guests search for Atlantis.

Going further into the land, guests see more things to do. This includes the gift shop, Inventions, as well as the Hyperion Cafe restaurant. Also here is a meet-and-greet area called Around the World with Mickey and Friends. Here, guests can meet characters in world locations. Near the exits is another gift shop, Around the World in 80 Days. In front of a large, rocky structure is the Orbitron, a spinning ride fashioned after Da Vinci's planetary model. Behind that is the entrance to Soarin', which fits in the land because of Da Vinci's Flying Machine.

This is an intriguing concept to work with. Here, we focus on yesterday's tomorrow instead of today's tomorrow. In other words, it's past ideas of the future instead of the present's ideas. Not to mention, it has put together a pretty unique land, and it features great ideas for rides.

  Like most castle parks, guests enter the park through Main Street. Recreating a Midwestern American town at the turn of the Twentieth Century, this area takes inspiration from Walt Disney's childhood home of Marceline, Missouri. What sets this apart from other Main Streets is that it has tunnels into nearby lands that are not accessible from the hub. After going through the main gates, guests will come across a floral Mickey below the train station. They will then enter the town square through one of two tunnels on both sides of the hill. On the left side is City Hall, where guests can find help and services. In the town square, they can also go up to the train station and board the Disneytopia Railroad, which departs to Frontierland. Nautical Kingdom: Arabian Coast

  Across the river from Mermaid Lagoon is another family area, Arabian Coast. Inspired by the mythology of the Middle East, specifically Aladdin, this land immerses guests in an exotic location with many fun surprises. When crossing the bridge from Mermaid Lagoon, guests come into a bazaar. To the right is a large Arabian Palace, home to the Sultan's Palace restaurant as well as a double decker carousel, the Caravan Carousel. Going into the bazaar, guests will find things such as 3 Wishes and Enchanted Bazaar, both of which are shops, and Open Sesame, a restaurant. Also near the bazaar is a wet spinner ride, Aladdin's Flying Carpets. Not too far from there is where guests will find Agrabah Cafe. Going further to the left, guests find a large, Arabian fortress overlooking the water. Here is where they can ride Sinbad's Storybook Voyage, which relates to a ride in Tokyo Disneysea. Dream Kingdom: Adventureland

  For those who crave adventure, this is your spot. Here, guests will be immersed in exotic locations on daring adventures, traveling the world and facing the perils within. Aside from that, they will also get a taste of culture from Polynesia, South America, Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean. When entering from the hub, the first area that guests enter is a Polynesian area. On the left is where they'll find Tangaroa Terrace, a restaurant. On the right is the Hono Hut, a gift shop, and Aloha Island, where Dole Whip is served. Past this is the Enchanted Tiki Room, complete with new effects, aquariums, and some more advanced audio-animatronics, all while keeping the charm of the original. At the bank of a river is a theater where guests can watch the stage show We Know the Way: A Celebration of Moana. To the left of this area is a South American region.
