Nautical Kingdom: Arabian Coast

Across the river from Mermaid Lagoon is another family area, Arabian Coast. Inspired by the mythology of the Middle East, specifically Aladdin, this land immerses guests in an exotic location with many fun surprises.

When crossing the bridge from Mermaid Lagoon, guests come into a bazaar. To the right is a large Arabian Palace, home to the Sultan's Palace restaurant as well as a double decker carousel, the Caravan Carousel. Going into the bazaar, guests will find things such as 3 Wishes and Enchanted Bazaar, both of which are shops, and Open Sesame, a restaurant. Also near the bazaar is a wet spinner ride, Aladdin's Flying Carpets. Not too far from there is where guests will find Agrabah Cafe.

Going further to the left, guests find a large, Arabian fortress overlooking the water. Here is where they can ride Sinbad's Storybook Voyage, which relates to a ride in Tokyo Disneysea. Bites of Baghdad is a nearby restaurant that looks into the ride. Also nearby is the formidable tiger's mouth in the Cave of Wonders. Inside is where guests will find the spinning coaster, Aladdin and the Cave of Wonders. A passage from the cave leads into a gift shop called Arabian Nights.

Since I felt like Mermaid Lagoon wasn't enough, I added in a second family area, also found at Tokyo Disneysea. The Cave of Wonders coaster is an original concept, even though I fear that it wouldn't be liked by guests. As for the Sinbad ride, this is something actually found in Tokyo Disneysea. If this was a real park, I would suggest that Disney makes an animated film based off the ride to solidify this as a Disney IP. (IP means intellectual property.)

  1. I think the Cave of Wonders coaster would be very well liked! It’s always been one of my favorites of your original ideas. You were really smart to put the two family areas close to each other.
